25K teams use this tool

“DON’T TOUCH THE DECK” - a familiar message we’ve all heard at least once while scrambling to put together a presentation. 🙃

It’s the type of presentation anxiety that doesn’t come with presenting: having an organized, relatable, and well-designed deck.

Earlier last week, Pitch moved out of beta. Their team claims that this presentation software can boost productivity without sacrificing creativity - a mighty stance. However, with 25,000 teams currently onboarded it may be a worthwhile claim.

Pitch enables teams to virtually meet, build, and design presentations, all in one place. Some useful features include tracking slide progress, live video collaboration, and user-friendly templates. Here’s what the community is saying:

“The unique features Pitch offers over more traditional slide tools are fantastic, and a breath of fresh air.” - Zach

“You don't feel like you are fighting it all the time, it's just so intuitive and silky smooth.” - Paul

We’ve seen many other presentation helpers pop up this year. Check out these other tools:

OpenDeck wants to help startups perfect their next pitch with over 1,200+ slide templates. Work on your presentation notes with the Comprehensive Startup Pitch Deck Guide and nail any pitch format.

Wunderpresentation turns any text into a presentation without having to deal with design.

Sizle is a sales presentation tracking tool that showcases slide analytics for documents.

Pitchdeck for Figma allows designers to create stunning slide decks from their Figma designs.

1M+ ways to create a Genie

Todays' newsletter was crafted by us and sponsored by our friends at Genies.

Imagine if you could clone yourself into the digital world looking a million different ways.

Genies’ upgraded 3D Avatar & Digital Goods SDK can make that a reality. No longer an exclusive perk reserved for celebrities, everyday users (for the first time ever) will soon be able to create their own personalized 3D Genies, starting with these two apps:

👜 GUCCI users will be able to shop directly with GUCCI for digital goods while their avatars rock the latest apparel designs.

😜 GIPHY will help users turn their avatars into GIFs across their site, mobile app, and other supported networks.

Genies hopes to grow these SDK partnerships to create a new type of digital goods economy and marketplace. In the future, you can cop the latest sneakers, swag, or accessories from their impressive roster of thousands of celebrities (Shawn Mendes and Cardi B to name a few) from their Genies’ Avatar Agency.

After creating your unique 3D Genie, you can teleport from platform to platform, interacting with other users to socialize or show off. Here’s what the community thinks of their latest update:

“From Oculus to Zoom, having one Avatar that can integrate across each digital touchpoint is something I think is much needed.” - Gabe

“Loved your earlier website and love this new update... would be a great addition to our AR platform.” - Snehaal

If you want to bring Genies Avatars + Digital Goods to your platform, you can request access at www.genies.com

8 new ways to learn code

The hardest part of starting something new is...starting.

This year has definitely thrown a few curveballs, but individuals are finding unique ways to get inspired. You may have seen a friend launch a new product, a colleague start a side-gig, or a stranger tweet about learning something new.

Learning to code or improving existing skills is something we’ve seen makers encourage each other to do across the community. Whether you’re searching for a career change, dedicated to personal growth, or looking to try something fun, coding offers an exciting challenge regardless of your background.

Here are some newly launched community products to inspire you and help you reach those goals. 🙌

Enlight Cohorts helps you build and ship three unique projects in two weeks.

Awwwards Academy has a variety of live workshops and courses from industry leaders.

Stanza uses code snippets to illustrate and teach core concepts.

Design+Code 4 offers premium courses for learning design & code with React and Swift.

Webflow University 2.0 has a vast library of lessons from introductory to advanced.

Frontend Developer Career Path teaches you skills to land your first job as a frontend dev.

codedamn offers different learning paths based on interest and skill.

Junto is not a coding course, but offers valuable wisdom from books, podcasts, and blogs.

Think you can take on a two-week challenge?
Start your own audio show

Content creators now have the freedom to jazz-up 😉 their programming with a little music.

Last week, Anchor and Spotify brought together podcasting and songs. Whether you’re an aspiring radio host or you’re looking for some epic background music, Shows with Music will allow you to create your own audio show.

Snapchatters will also be able to include some background beats with Sounds for Snapchat. You can now add songs to snaps, which may seem long overdue with the likes of TikTok and Instagram Reels. However, Snapchat hopes to gain an edge by letting users create their own sounds and add them to snaps in the upcoming months.

If you can’t remember the song you want to add, you can always attempt to “hum it out” with Google’s new ‘hum to search’ feature. No one will hear your awkward humming (well, except for Google).

Here are some products that can offer a soundtrack for your life:

Streamradiox is Spotify for streamers (without the copyright claims).
cchound 2.0 is a roundup of licensed music you can use for your creative projects.
Third Space offers you soundscapes from everyday places to offset WFH isolation.
Fugue 2.0 is free stock music for content creators.
UHMMM plays elevator music to avoid awkward silences during meetings.
Ocean beta allows you to create electro beats to share with friends.

Case of the zoomies

Zoom was on a roll this week, launching two new products that got everyone talking.

Zapps, or Apps on Zoom, brings together some of the best productivity apps right to Zoom. Say goodbye to searching through your tabs to find the right Mural board or being voluntold to start a random document to take minutes.

With one click, you can use an app during a meeting in the same screen. Some of the coolest features include voice-to-text transcriptions directly in apps, live workout stats for fitness sessions, and becoming your very own quizmaster.

You can test out over 35 apps that have made their way to becoming a Zapp from familiar names like Asana, Slack, Coda, Atlassian, and Zendesk among others.

Zoom also launched OnZoom, a marketplace to monetize and attend virtual events. In the age of virtual everything, OnZoom is definitely giving major entertainment companies a run for their money by allowing users to sell tickets, schedule, and promote their event all in one spot.

Stayed tuned next week when Zoom will start to roll out its much anticipated end-to-end encryption for both free and paid users. Create your own virtual top-secret meeting with your squad. 🤫

monday.com’s Virtual Work OS (Operating System) launched on Product Hunt to some promising feedback from the community earlier in the year:

The new iPhone has landed

Yesterday, Apple dropped new products including the much anticipated iPhone 12, its first 5G iPhone.

To avoid FOMO, here’s a recap:

📱iPhone 12 & iPhone 12 Mini were part of the big reveal yesterday. The new phones are thinner and smaller than previous models, flaunting an ultra-protective ceramic glass screen. The size isn’t a problem for its 5G speed or fastest smartphone chip. The iPhone 12 is going for $799, while its mini counterpart starts at $699.

📲iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12 Pro Max shares similar features to the iPhone 12, but offers a new playground for photography. They are the first mobile cameras to record and edit Dolby Vision HDR videos, accompanied by LiDAR technology (the stuff NASA uses) for AR experiences.

The lenses on both phones will surely make for some Instagram-worthy shots. The iPhone 12 Pro will start at $999 whereas its fancier counterpart the iPhone 12 Pro Max will start at $1099.

🔉HomePod mini is 360 degrees of crisp and connected sound. At just 3.3 inches tall, you’ll get an intelligent assistant that acts as a speaker for your music or Apple TV, an office or home coordinator for your daily tasks, and an intercom for your house. Gift yourself this mini multitasker for $99.

The battle of the 5G phone is heating up just in time for the holidays, as Google released its contender the Pixel 5 just two weeks ago. Are you team Android or iPhone? Cast your vote for your pick.

This startup wants to eliminate passwords
Last week, Taus Noor, the co-founder & CEO at Gaze, launched Gazepass, a passwordless login API for web and mobile apps.

Gazepass aims to provide your users with a way to log in using biometrics across all of their devices, regardless of whether or not they have a specialized biometric sensor.

We’ve seen more simple login solutions launch in recent times to help keep your accounts secure, and accessible, without having to remember a ton of random characters for every new app.

DID is a fast and simple way to add passwordless auth to websites and apps.

Authpack provides a user login and payments system installed with 8 lines of code.
