We’re decades away from developing a superhuman artificial intelligence. Luckily, a handful of startups are already hard at work using machine learning (ML) techniques to build products that automate work-related tasks for you.
Here are a few ML-enabled tools that will make you more effective at work today:

ICO’s are the new apps. There’s a cryptocurrency for everything.
Today’s newest entrant is PotCoin, a cryptocurrency for the marijuana industry, used to bypass traditional “drug-free” banks. But unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others, PotCoin is endorsed by Dennis Rodman. For real.
It may be early days, but every week we’re seeing innovative uses for the blockchain. There’s:
• Monaco VISA, a physical “credit card” for cryptocurrency
• 21.co, a platform that pays you to answer emails
• CryptoPunk, digital avatars based off the Ethereum blockchain
• HammerCoin, an MMORPG with a Bitcoin-powered economy

It finally happened.
Ever since Marc Andreessen stopped tweeting, "Tech Twitter" has never been the same. But late last night the moment we've all been waiting for finally happened, @pmarca started tweeting again! Fireworks. Retweets. Celebrations. 🎉
Speaking of Twitter, we gotta talk integrations. You can mass unfollow everyone with this extension, get an email when someone unfollows you with this service, and give someone the ultimate compliment by getting their (or your own) tweets framed. Also, the app that @pmarca is using in the header to share screenshots of text is called OneShot. It's pretty great.

Apple Design Awards Winners Announced! 😻
The Apple Design Awards are Apple's way of showcasing the very best apps across all of its software platforms – iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. Previous winners include: Robinhood, Pacemaker, Ulysses, and Fantastical. It's a big honor.
This year's batch was no different, standing out in competitive categories like Evernote Alternatives, Wunderlist Alternatives, and Alternatives to Mailbox (congrats to designers at Bear, Things 3, and AirMail).

A few months ago, we launched Ask Product Hunt, a community-powered product search engine. To date, more than 2,300 questions have been submitted, with one of the most popular ones being: What is your favorite MacOS menu bar app? 🤔

Everything Apple Launched at WWDC 🛠🚀
The first day of Apple's World Wide Developers Conference did not disappoint. The company announced impressive new hardware products, new apps, and new operating systems.
Let's start with hardware. The iMac Pro is both badass and stunning. It comes in space grey and it's one powerful machine. Apple also launched a new iPad Pro (thinner-faster-better), a music-focused Alexa competitor powered by Siri, and a new Siri-centric Watch Operating System.
Speaking of which, the new iPhone and Mac operating systems are here! The top comment on MacOS High Sierra is "Boring" (we promise there are new things), while iOS 11 is a totally different story. Apple is taking on Dropbox with an innovative new cloud-based filing system. They also showed off their new AR technology, reminiscent of Facebook’s recently announced Camera Effects platform, and launched a direct Venmo competitor (but it’s buried in iMessage so Venmo’s in the clear).
Also, we got a surprise sequel to 2014's game of the year!

The reason Bitcoin & Ethereum are surging 💰📈
The blockchain is arguably the most disruptive social idea since the internet itself. In the past few weeks, the price of digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum has started to reflect it. This is partly due to investor speculation, but the main reason for the incredible run-up is that we may have found the killer use case.
Tokens, or "appcoins" are a scarce digital asset based on underlying technology inspired by Bitcoin. They are not equity, but are more like Kickstarter on steroids. For example, Product Hunt could launch "KittyCoins" to finance operations directly from the community. Another example is how the Brave Browser team just raised $30M for their Basic Attention Token ICO in 24 seconds (you read that correctly).
Balaji Srinivasan authored an article this weekend that explains tokens' true potential. We're in the early days, but tokens will transform technology tomorrow, they say.

Skype has been completely redesigned (and looks a lot like Snapchat). Microsoft's popular video calling tool now includes a host of social features, including:

But the reboot wouldn’t be complete in 2017 without Stories. Skype calls them Highlights, a familiar feature for Snapchat users but with one BIG innovation: Highlights last a full 7 days.
Jokes aside, the 13-year-old app feels modern and far more fun than the Skype we grew up with. Check it out.
