Tired of tedious flashcard creation? Aiki is an AI-powered tool for teachers and students. Just paste a word list, and instantly get beautiful, interactive flashcards with mnemonics, example sentences, and challenging quizzes. Supports dozens of languages.
Hey, Product Hunt community! 👋
I'm thrilled to introduce Aiki, a project born from my own struggles as a language learner and my passion for building truly helpful AI tools.
Why did I build this?
We've all been there: spending hours manually creating vocabulary flashcards. You search for definitions, good example sentences, and maybe a clever way to remember the word. It's tedious, time-consuming, and honestly, it kills the joy of learning. Existing flashcard apps are often just digital boxes for text – you still have to do all the hard work. I knew AI could do better.
What’s new and unique about Aiki?
Aiki isn't just another flashcard app; it's an AI-powered teaching assistant. The magic is in how it understands the pedagogy of learning.
🧠 Smart Templates: Instead of just one boring card type, Aiki analyzes each word and chooses the best way to teach it. For a word like "resilient", it might create a Single Word Card with etymology. For "affect" vs. "effect", it automatically generates a Confusable Pair Card to highlight the differences. For "inspect", it might create a Word Family Card based on the root 'spect'.
✨ Rich, Instant Content: For every word, Aiki generates everything you need:
Clear definitions and part-of-speech.
Contextual example sentences with translations.
Creative mnemonics to make words stick.
Challenging, auto-generated quiz questions to test your understanding.
🌐 Multi-Language Support: It works seamlessly across dozens of languages, making it a powerful tool for learners and teachers worldwide.
What am I most proud of?
I'm most proud of the prompt engineering that makes Aiki feel like a real, thoughtful teacher. It doesn't just give you data; it presents information in the most pedagogically effective way for each specific word.
I'd love for you to try it out with one of the demo decks or sign in and create your own. Your feedback would be invaluable as I continue to build Aiki.
What subject or language would you be most excited to create a deck for?
Cheers
