This is a meditative multiplayer experience, where strangers on the internet work together to steer a hot air balloon across the world map. There are no points, no ads, and no reason to play, other than the shared pleasure of drifting somewhere together.

Airtales is a meditative multiplayer experience. Everyone online shares one basket and votes on where we drift next. It’s built to stay calm, no points, streaks, or pop-ups asking for your attention.

Together you can steer the balloon, request a short story about the place below, or tune in to nearby radio stations. Brief tales and live music appear because words and songs travel easier than passports. You can also chat and leave your own stories for others to find.

We made Airtales for the joy of building something as a group. It isn’t here to “fix” anything, just to remind us that moving through the world can feel light. We hope that crossing borders this way nudges us toward a planet with fewer walls.
