AskAce: an AI sports prediction assistant powered by 5+ years of stats
Hey everyone - Mike here 👋 I’m solo-building Ask Ace, an AI sports prediction assistant trained on 5+ years of data.
I built this because (honestly) I wanted to help make my friends money from sport books! They used to ask me to automate predictions using "classic" methods.. We found other AI models not really working, giving vague advice, and honestly - I haven't found one that really chats. So I trained Ace on stats, odds, injuries, weather, and matchup context - then taught it how to explain picks like a sharp (using data pipelines and RAG, if you know about that stuff /tech).
Big challenges along the way:
• Getting LLMs to not invent fake players
• Building a “Game RAG Pack” so Ace talks intelligently about specific matchups
• Adding Monte-Carlo “Smart Parlay” simulations
• Keeping the entire thing safe and jailbreak-proof
I wanted to create an AI that didn’t just talk sports - it actually predicted games. And honestly.. watching the bot argue with me about the spread has been hilarious. Please check it out - interested in your thoughts!
