I built Change Context for Jira because Jira tells you **what changed**, but often misses the more important context: **why it changed and who/what caused it**. The idea came from a simple problem: as teams increasingly use automation, AI agents, Rovo, integrations, and scripts, Jira history can become difficult to understand. A status change, field update, or transition may happen without a human directly making the change. Change Context helps teams add that missing context. Some use cases: • 🤖 Track actions performed by AI agents separately from human actions • 🔄 Understand why an issue moved between statuses • ⚙️ Identify automation-driven changes • 🔍 Audit important changes without digging through multiple systems • 🧩 Understand changes made by integrations or external tools • 📊 Search and analyze change history by action type • 🛡️ Improve accountability and troubleshooting for critical Jira workflows The bigger motivation is simple: **Jira history should tell the story of an issue, not just show a list of events.** I’d love to hear how other teams currently answer the question: **“Who changed this, what did they do, and why?”**
