I'm the maker of Aura. Here's why I built it:
I kept wanting a quick-access AI tool on my screen, but every time I shared my screen on calls ā there was ChatGPT sitting right there for everyone to see.
So I built an overlay that uses a Windows API to exclude itself from screen capture at the OS level. You see the AI responses. Nobody else does.
Then I went overboard and added:

It's 100% free and open source. No accounts, no subscriptions. You bring your own API keys from free tiers (Cerebras, Groq, Gemini, Deepgram all have them).
Currently Windows only. If this gets enough love, Linux and Mac are next!
