@shpigford Baremetrics is really cool...but would be even cooler if we could use other payment gateways like paypal....we use both paypal and stripe. I guess not the only one who has the same issue ;)

@mrwongsteven If you use Stripe Customer objects, then it should work, yes.

This is literally the best timing. I was about to start working on an in-house dunning system next week, getting a little angry that there wasn't a good off-the-shelf alternative, and here you come with one! Awesome stuff.

Somewhat amusingly we are a Dunnings company for the offline world (e.g. Xero, QBO etc; here is our PH feature from before http://www.producthunt.com/tech/...) but we can't actually chase our own failed payments! We already use Baremetrics so I think we will switch this on shortly.

@smalter Arguably this does in fact introduce more metrics-related stuff (namely some retention metrics). That being said, we've got more metrics-related stuff in the works as well. :) Lots of stuff moving in tandem.

@shpigford any chance you might do this for Braintree? We'd use Stripe, but for the Czech Republic (like most countries), Stripe's been stuck in "maybe later mode" - for over 2 years. Thanks.

Considering Stripe can already send receipts for failed and refunded payments I'm kind of amazed they still haven't built this in-house, a good gap to fill though...
