I first downloaded this in October 1994, my final year of Comp Sci undergrad in Canada. The Netscape browser was the first commercial killer app on the Internet. Like Mosaic before it, Netscape blew my mind and changed the world. Netscape downloaded multiple images simultaneously and let the user interact with the page while it was still being downloaded, so it seemed way faster than Mosaic. Two years later I was working at Netscape in Mountain View on "Dogbert" aka Netscape Navigator 3. Eventually Internet Explorer would kill Netscape's browser business and the ashes of Mozilla would be reborn as Firefox.
