BUS Core - Local-firstsoftware for the gap between spreadsheets and ERP

by
BUS Core is local-first operations software for small manufacturing shops stuck between spreadsheets and ERP. It helps track inventory, jobs, and material flow without cloud lock-in or enterprise overhead. Built for the awkward middle where spreadsheets stop matching reality, but full ERP is still too heavy.

Hey Product Hunt — I built BUS Core because I kept seeing the same pattern in small manufacturing and maker environments: spreadsheets were “good enough” until they stopped matching what was actually happening on the floor. That usually meant: inventory drift patchwork tracking systems job status living in memory or side notes more admin overhead without better operational truth I wanted something for the space between “just use Excel” and “go implement full ERP.” BUS Core is local-first, practical, and aimed at small shops that need real operational structure without cloud dependency or enterprise bloat. Would genuinely like to know: where your current spreadsheet/process starts breaking down what made ERP feel too heavy, if you tried it what a trustworthy small-shop ops tool actually needs to do well
