ChatPlikacia is growing — 1,000+ people have joined us on Google Play 💙

A while ago, I posted here about launching ChatPlikacia.

The idea was to build a dating app that gives you the best of both worlds: you get normal, unlimited swiping (where you can see who liked you for free and change your location globally), but paired with a feature called Daily Rooms—small, anonymous group chats where photos start blurred and names are hidden until the conversation gets going.

I just passed 1,000 downloads on Google Play.

Seeing that many people actually download and try it out feels pretty surreal.

Tweaking things over the last few months based on feedback (like adding direct messaging and rewinds) has been a lot of work, but seeing people use it makes it worth it.

Since I'm actively trying to improve the app, I'm curious: What is the biggest frustration you have with mainstream dating apps right now?

As for what's next, I'm just focusing on listening to user feedback, keeping the app stable, and figuring out what features actually make talking to people more fun.
