Hey Product Hunt! over 500 days ago I started working on Clay and later quit my 5 year career in animation. Wild decision, I know. Here's the thing - I've been obsessed with productivity apps for like 8 years. Tried everything. Bought all the subscriptions. But I was always left feeling... meh. You know when an app is so close to perfect, but then you wish it had just one more feature? Or the design felt better? So you download another app. And another. Next thing you know, you're spending more time jumping between apps than actually using them. Yeah, that was me. I started building Clay in order to figure out which parts of my life I am ignoring, simple as that. But a few months later, it hit me: wait a second, I built something that can help me accomplish literally any goal. The system was already there. That is when it got serious. I went all in and started building specialized trackers for everything: fitness, budgets, meditation, you name it. But here's what clicked for me: streaks are cool and all, but not enough. We're humans; we need our friends to cheer us on. We need real rewards to keep us going. That's just how we're wired. So I added gift cards for staying consistent. Made it social so your progress becomes something your friends can actually see and celebrate with you. 28 iterations later (yeah, 28.), Clay finally feels ready. It's honestly the app I wish I had when I started this whole journey. I'd love to know what do you think? And more importantly, what goals are you chasing right now?
