Hot take: per-seat SaaS pricing is broken.

by

Most B2B SaaS charges per seat or per user — a flat monthly fee

that grows with your team size, regardless of whether the software

is actually generating value for you that month.

For businesses with variable transaction volume (coworking, coliving,

hospitality, marketplaces, agencies), this model breaks. You pay the

same in a slow month as in a peak month.

We built Co-Desk on the opposite premise: % per transaction. ZERO

monthly fee. If money never flows through your business, you don't

pay us.

Question for the PH community:

If you run a business with variable revenue — would you rather pay

your software a flat monthly fee, or a small % per transaction?

What's the breakpoint where each model wins?
