Hey there. Seven years after the original version, we're launching today a major upgrade to our camera app for iPhone & iPad. This is Hydra 2. Making use of the latest advances in on-device artificial intelligence 🧠, and introducing a new manual shooting mode and instant 32-bit editing, we hope it'll enable a great shooting experience. It's currently iPhone/iPad only, but please let us know if you'd like to see it on other devices.

Congrats on the release, however, I’m getting occasional crashes when using the Zoom feature on my iPhone Xr. When these bugs are sorted, it will be a great app.

@craigcpaterson we have identified memory issues on iPhone Xr. Version 2.0.2 tries to address the problem. Please let us know if that resolves it. Thx!

@rsebbe thanks for the update. I have installed version 2.0.2 and it seems to be a lot more stable – thank you. Can’t wait until I have a new iPhone now to really put Hydra 2 through its paces 😉

we had an intense debugging session on the Xr last month (thought it was over to be honest - intricate Core Image-related crash on that device). Guess we'll dig some more to sort that out.
