Apple Calendar, Reminders and Notes are three separate apps. I made them one.

Hi everyone, I'm Venkey, the maker of Cupola.

Most of my day lives in three Apple apps: Calendar, Reminders and Notes. They sync well, they're free, and they work on every device I own. But on the Mac they're three separate windows that know nothing about each other. To plan one afternoon I'd check Calendar for a free slot, switch to Reminders to see what's

due, then dig through Notes for the meeting notes. Three apps, one job.

So I built Cupola: one Mac app for all three.

What that looks like :

- A Home view with today's events, your reminders and recent notes side by side

- A week calendar, reminder lists with subtasks, tags, flags and priorities, and a notes browser with real checklists and tables, all in the same window

- One quick-add box for everything: type "dentist next tuesday 4pm" or "remind me to water the plants tomorrow" and it goes to Calendar or Reminders

- A focus timer next to all of it

- A small extra: hover the MacBook notch (or a little pill on Macs without one) to glance at your day without opening the window.

- Nothing to migrate

Cupola isn't a new calendar or to-do system. It reads and writes Apple's own apps, so there's nothing to import and no account. Everything you add shows up in Calendar, Reminders and Notes, and on your iPhone through iCloud. Your events, reminders and notes never leave your Mac.

The trade-off I made :

It's not on the Mac App Store. The sandbox won't let an app read Notes' real checklists and tables or Reminders' tags, so Cupola installs with one line in Terminal and updates itself after that.

What I'd love your take on:

1. Do you use Apple's Calendar, Reminders and Notes together, or did you replace one of them? What made you switch?

2. When you plan your day, which do you open first, and how many times do you jump between them?

3. What's one link between them you wish existed, like a note attached to an event or a reminder that shows up on your calendar?

It's 7 days free (the whole app, no card), then $20 once. Apple silicon, macOS 26 or later.

I'll be in the comments all day.
