Homeschool parents: How do you adapt online content for your kids?
I homeschool my two daughters (ages 5 and 9), and I've hit the same wall over and over:
They're curious about everything - volcanoes, space, how things work. But if they have to sit passively and learn - they check out instantly.
My approach:
- Converting resources to simpler language
- Creating hands-on activities from scratch
- Finding discussion questions to keep them engaged
It works, but it takes a lot of time
I'm curious - other homeschool parents or teachers here:
1. How do you handle this? Any tools or workflows that help?
2. What subjects are hardest to find age-appropriate content for?
3. Would you use something that auto-adapts articles into kid-friendly content with activity suggestions?
Building something to solve this for myself. Would love to hear how others approach it.
