When I first moved to NY I had been to maybe 3 concerts. I quickly realized a lot of my coworkers were going to a concert almost EVERY weekend and 50+ shows per year. I started to follow along and quickly realized the appeal. My friends were tracking all the concerts they had seen in their notes app or in excel. Apps like Beli, Letterboxd, and Goodreads had recently taken off and I wondered why nothing similar exists for live shows! I found that seeing what your friends thought of the same artist you saw last month creates a shared experience and EVERYONE has an opinion. We soft-launched to friends and the NYC concert community and grew organically to 200+ users logging 700+ concert reviews.
