Is it just me, or do traditional site blockers/productivity tools feel like a prison?
Hi everyone!
As someone who deals with ADHD and 'context-switching' every day, I’ve tried every productivity tool out there. But I noticed a pattern: whenever a tool was too aggressive and blocked me entirely, I’d just get frustrated and disable it.
I realized that for me, Focus is a Bridge, not a Wall.
I’ve been working on a concept called 'Mindful Friction'—using on-device AI to detect distractions and just give a gentle 10-second pause to let the brain 'reset' instead of a hard block.
My question to the community:
Do you prefer 'Hard Blocks' (total lockout) or 'Soft Nudges' (gentle reminders) when you're trying to stay in flow?
P.S. I’m actually launching my solution for this, FocusBridge AI, today! I’d love for you to check it out and let me know if this 'Bridge' philosophy works for you too.
