Hello Makers!
Thank you @aaronoleary for this thread ๐
Today, we've officially launched our new service called Fair Remote: https://www.producthunt.com/post... ๐
It has been put together by a small team of two: me and my wife.
We got tired of seeing "US Only", "UK Only", "In The Middle Of Nowhere Only" in a job description. Plus, seeing all the generic job descriptions that are thorough but don't necessarily say something about what to expect from the company got annoying as well.
We wanted to offer at least a minimum of decency in the job descriptions for an applicant. That is:
- allow hiring either from anywhere or restrict the applicants' pool to one or multiple continents
- transparency about salary expectations (not necessarily a fixed amount, but a range of what to expect, so you don't go through 4-5 interviews just at the end to find out you're undervalued)
- no. of interviews
- encourage describing the interview process (what type of interviews they are, how they are structured โ take-home assignment vs. live pairing session with the team, etc.)
We consider this a good starting point for being more open towards applicants as a company and putting more effort into the hiring process beforehand.
We wanted to fix this frustration for us first. If others resonate with these ideas, even better.
We will work on improving things further. This is just the start where we wanted to test out the idea and throw it into the wild to see the reaction from people and so far it's been positive. We'll see if companies think the same way.
Have an awesome rest of the week, everyone! ๐
Thanks for the amazing thread @aaronoleary!

Hi @aaronoleary thank you for this post and your help with the products. I am looking for early adopters for !SacreServ (https://www.producthunt.com/post...), a social impact and cause marketing platform for nonprofits, donors, volunteers and sponsors.
The nonprofits once registered on the platform, can create social impact campaigns. Registered sponsors, can sponsor upcoming campaigns by offering discount coupons to their products/services. Donors/volunteers can discover the active campaigns in their area and can earn those discount coupons by contributing to these campaigns.
The platform thus helps nonprofits build and grow their communities while raising funds and attracting volunteers.
I am seeking early adopters for all the four application personas, nonprofits, sponsors, donors as well as volunteers.
Starting with the nonprofits, I have a special for the nonprofits to get up to $1000 in platform fee credit if they register with the platform by Jun 30. Details can be found at

Hi Makers!
I am working with my project which will help users to send cold emails and follow-ups
via user mailbox. I launched https://getin.io few days before and its still in testing version. But while I am building it I would like to know what do you think about this idea. Maybe you will give me some good ideas which can users help or even competitors will not have it.
Thanks a lot ;)

Hello everybody!
I was just looking for some feedback on my web app. It is built on the Spotify API and enables any user to create new playlists similar to their old playlists. This was one of those scratch your own itch and used it as my senior project. Its handy for creating playlists on the fly that contain something different. It also clusters all the songs in a playlist based on their musical similarity.
Its fun and its free!
Check it out at http://recommendationsforspotify...
Thanks!

Hi group :), I'm Yasu and today I'd like to introduce you to a new game that I've released.
It's a game for smartphones named BugBagBugBug.
BugBugBug checks your English pronunciation with voice recognition.
This game is an unusual way to learn English pronunciation while playing.

Hey everyone!
Me and my team are building yet another self-tracking app: https://lifemetrics.io
We're focused on simplifying the process down because frankly navigating menus sucks. We are also focused on providing useful AI curated insights for you so the data you keep track of isn't just sitting on your device useless.
We're in public beta for our iOS app. Check it out if you're interested. We really like to hear what people think of our app.
Hi Makers,
Our product, Brightful Meeting Games, just launched!
https://www.producthunt.com/post...
It's a suite of icebreaker games designed to bring back human connections to remote meetings. My own startups are all running remotely now and while we love the productivity gains and flexibility, we also miss the physical human connection we had before. We hope our games can help everyone bring some of that back!
We have designed these games to work with any video conference tools. There is no app to install, no signup, and no ads.
Please check us out, we appreciate your feedback!
Thanks,
Alvin
