Where are you with your project?

by
Hello Makers, I would love to know where you guys are at building your product. Let's see if we can help each other. I will start. I am close to finishing up my product. But I need to do testing. Where are you? EDIT:- You can checkout the launch here https://www.producthunt.com/post...

I'm working on getting designs and content for a website/PH page that I will use to understand if anyone wants my product. Why invest resources and time into building something without testing it in the market (forums, PH, reddit, etc). What I've come to learn from this "quick" test, is that it's not so quick but its faster/cheaper than reaching an MVP product and no one wanting it. It has so far included: 1. Designs (App and Website) 2. Domain purchase 3. Hosting services 4. Product Hunt "Ship" costs 5. Wordpress implementation (easier for me since I'm slightly experienced in it) 6. Outreach to different channels to promote when the time comes (time consuming) 7. General conversations with colleagues and friends for feedback (more time)

@alex_arevalo Testing is integral, yes. It seems you have done a lot of progress. Keep it up!

I'm working on 2 projects at the moment: adgenda and newsletterfy. I'm getting ready for the private beta of newsletterfy, which is an app that dynamically creates newsletter signup forms that automatically integrate with your existing email provider. Basically just an easy way to add a newsletter widget with a custom callback. If anyone is interested in trying it out when its ready, let me know!

@jamesskarzynski Working on 2 projects on the same time? Woah. How do you manage?

From a budget perspective I’m creating a web app first and converting it to a native mobile later... it’s the most cost effective way because I’m not a developer so that’s where I am 🤷🏽‍♀️

@monique_davis Hey, That's great. My project is a web app as well. Let me know if you need help. As a developer, I have some experience around them.

I'm working on a chat app that maps the different topics mentioned in a conversation, to help organize better big group conversations. It took time to really start building it and a lot of effort and research in design it but we will have a beta version in a few month !

Launched my product - https://devsheet.com/ and it is getting organic traffic also. But still working on some features that will be useful if you are a programmer. Also I have created a fun website https://www.joyadda.com and its version2 beta is in testing mode along with its mobile app developed using Flutter. I am looking for suggestions regarding marketing of Devsheet as right now only a few developers write their articles and ask question on the platform. How can I make this website trustworthy enough so that the programmers could share their knowledge on the website continuously. Thanks and best of luck with the products that you all are working on.

We launched 3 months ago with a B2B model, but had limited traction. Deciding it takes a long time to build that brand, we just launched a B2C model. We help people thrive in unemployment, so decided to speak and sell directly to our users- recently unemployed Americans. Bit of a scary pivot, but happy we did it! riveterworks.com
