Today I launched #32 on PH and was thinking back to the first software product I made.
It was a simple .exe popup I sent to a few friends...they had to type 'Andrew is awesome' before it would go away π€£
I was so pleased...
My first product was a prayer social network for my Christian friends to share & vote on prayer topics. Had no idea how to do web development and was learning and making at the same time. Little did I know that there are people on the Internet looking for web vulnerabilities who found a way to SQL-inject my entire database and nuke all users' passwords so I had to shut it down and focus back on my school work. :) I learned many things from that experience.

A website named SimplyMac in 1993, I covered such topics as Resedit and everything mac I could find. I was 11 at the time, and using some FTP server. I have searched for it on Wayback machine....but it can't be found. It EOL after I returned home from summer camp and found it to be no longer running. RIP ;-)
Since I am new to PH and I have released my first product only today (https://www.producthunt.com/post...).
It is a browser-based interactive 3D tool to generate custom clothing mockups. You can easily customize a 3D digital avatar, its clothes, and background. Also, you can upload your design/artwork to it.
I have created this 3D mockup tool for brands that can easily show clothing designs to their customers using our digital avatars.

Mine was a text messaging service for businesses. The expenses were too high for me and while I eventually broke even, getting enough customers was a challenge. Now I've just launched https://mailapicture.com in which the expenses are low but the margins are low as well which means getting customers is again a challenge.
I built my first product in the year 1992 for managing the transportation of materials from one location to another. Inefficiencies in the manual process was causing a huge issue in the business.
My product reduced the transportation time (included, documentation, permit, license approval) from 43 days to 17 days within a month of the product implementation.
I instantly got a appreciation letter for the great effort.
The first software product I created was a Dreamweaver-built website of silly jokes and comics. I was so proud of my ugly little site in my teenage years. π
