Do you browse PH on desktop or mobile?
I'm putting together the gallery images for our launch and the recommended size is 1270x760, which is a laptop shape. Every guide says to bake the captions into the image. On a phone that same image is the width of my thumb.
So I'm designing for a screen I'm not sure anyone is using.
This matters to me as a marketer. The gallery is the first thing a potential user sees of the product, and if the type is unreadable on their format, the whole first impression is gone before they read a single word. Same image,
completely different experience.
I couldn't find any public data on how people actually browse here. Does anyone know if PH shares device stats anywhere, or has numbers from their own launch?
And from you personally, where do you scroll the daily list, and where do you actually read a launch page and the comments?

On both and I've noticed significant difference: mobile version shows only a small part of all launches on the main screen and it seems that they shuffle and show only about 20 of those, while on desktop you can see all.

I am doing this exact thing for a launch on Sunday and gave up on small captions entirely. Mine are now a few words in type big enough to read at thumb width, which cost me the clever line but the image survives the phone. Did you find any guide that gives an actual minimum type size, or is everyone just eyeballing it?
