Do you show competitor comparisons?
by•
A comparison table makes the decision easy for people already shopping around — and it's a chance to frame the fight on my terms, on the features I win.
It also puts rivals' names on my page, which invites them to return the favor, and it ages badly the moment they ship something I don't have and my table becomes a lie.
I've seen comparison pages that were honest and genuinely helpful, and I've seen them so cherry-picked they read as
desperate.
There's also the option of staying above it entirely and letting customers do the comparing in reviews and forums — quieter, but slower and less controlled.
Do you name names, stay neutral, or build a "how we're different" page that never mentions anyone? And did it ever come back to bite you?
