Of course, it is always more pleasant to work in the company of your friends. It may not always be productive, because it's a little distracting, but it's definitely more pleasant. And you can read about productivity in our blog :)

Yes, it sure does. You don't feel like everything is on you and you have someone who understands the challenges in your workspace.

100% !! They act like great sound boards for any issues that you would be facing in the office. It is not necessary that your family members/friends would get the issue as your work bestie would. Also, the inside jokes that only you both would get. And knowing that they would be in the office makes me excited to go to the office every day and also makes me work way more efficiently.
