Has anyone boosted engagement by deleting a feature instead of building a new one?

by•

Our user churn was slowly creeping up, so our immediate instinct was to build more features to increase value. Instead, we audited usage metrics and completely sun setted our least-used secondary module.

Surprisingly, core future adoption went up, and customer onboarding time dropped significantly. Removing the clutter forced users to focus on our core value proposition.

Have you ever cut out a feature to save or grow your product?
