How did you come up with the idea for your product or service?

SMAFLEET was started as an endeavor to address practical fleet management challenges my colleagues and I have been experiencing. I am a Fleet Manager and my goal is to solve all the fleet management challenges I have come across.

So basically realised that there aren't many products that focuses on the African niche and thus i decided to come up with designs that portrays African and its patterns. In my designs I use Ghanaian symbols and African made patterns. These designs are made for Backpacks, T-shirts, etc. The reception to it so far is really amazing and i will keep working on more designs. I got my idea from my previous business customers.

Usually, the idea comes from a real-life situation, when I experience a problem. And after that I try to get deep insights into the problem, find ways to solve it and get as much information about the topic itself and the competition on the market.

It all started with Pandemic

When COVID happened, my wife started a YouTube channel since she could no longer work as a tour guide. I saw her struggling to get the hang of talking to the camera and spending whole nights editing out all the "bloopers". I just wanted to build something to help her out.

It was easy. At my old developer job, more than 20 years ago, I was tasked to create a similar admin control panel for many of customers' websites. At some point, I was tired of writing the same code over and over again and wrote a tool that simplified the job for me and a few years later I released it as a product (PHPRunner), which is my only source of income to this day.

Came up wit the idea of fitdollar while on a run. I had just come back after visiting a very close friend who suddenly had a health concern, then covid hit. Health became front and center of all our concerns.

It was a need in my life and is not currently available.

Great question! Our founder realized a problem in his relationship - most date nights were not exciting anymore. Countless movie nights just became the expected, and we want to change that. Originally, we thought about creating an app that can generate date ideas that couples would swipe and match on. Eventually, it became a broader and all-encompassing relationship app that: 1. Keeps track of your partner's likes, dislikes, anniversary, important dates 2. Uses AI to answer any questions you may have about relationships, love, dating... 3. Keeps track of the couple's financials.
