How do you manage to separate work and personal life when working remotely?

by
Hello everyone! I often have a problem with the fact that my personal life is mixed with my work life. What kind of life hacks do you have for organizing your work from home?

It’s virtually impossible to effectively separate both. We recently moved to the outskirts and got a home so one room is my office. That helped. I also go to a hot-desking space a couple of time per week. I bought a portable second screen too. That’s a good balance for me.

It can be tough but here are some ideas that help me. 1. A dedicated workplace where you only do work and nothing else 2. Work clothes and home clothes. Once you are done with today's work, change. Surprisingly it helps. 3. Setup a routine to get out of the house once you are done working. Go for a walk, go to the gym, go play some sports. Helps you switch to "home" mode.

I like sticking to a solid schedule 10 to 6pm. After that, I log off and I'm done. It works for me :)

A very relevant question. I separate out different areas in the house. One is a work area and one is a chill area. Helps me compartmentalise thought

You must have a strictly defined working time, we recommend it to each of our employees.

The most important thing is the schedule. Set your work hours and try to avoid working out of it. I know this sounds easy, but it is hard to stop when you finally catch your working mood :D And the stuff that you did with offline work, helps me too. Wake up at the same time, take a little walk before and drink tea/coffee outside, or whatever that you did before.

Hi! For me, my room becomes an office during work. I try not to be distracted by anything. During lunch, I can go to the kitchen and enjoy working at home. I think working from home is a great thing, the main thing is to tune in to work

For me, it was a challenge to keep balance between personal and working life. Setting regular working ours and keeping separate emails helped me a lot. At the same time, I still need to learn how to reduce overwork.

Set clear boundaries between the office and home...Avoid looking at their inbox after a specific time of day

My advice is don't combine your home life with work. I mean, don't do work projects in bed etc. Make your own work area. Otherwise, in any place you will think only about work and the house will cease to be a place of strength and rest.
