Sometimes it's hard to get back to work and continue from where you left after the weekend. How do you beat brain fog?

(go for a run?) -> skip the run -> coffee -> plug in for an hour -> (at least do some pushups?) -> skip the pushups -> kids are up -> feed the kids -> get kids out of the house -> coffee -> plug back in for 9:00am standup!
Getting up half an hour earlier than usual on Tuesdays to Fridays, maintaining a steady pace, would help me relax and focus on my work better.

I find I really enjoy Mondays since striking out on my own. They're no longer filled with thoughts of what I have to still get done from last week, what needs to get out this week and who is going to come in and change plans/direction after spending time planning with the team.
It's a wonderful feeling to have complete ownership of where my time and energy is spent. So now, I start my Monday mornings being grateful.
