Sometimes I am in meetings the whole day and realize nothing much has happened by eod. How can I balance this?

Take breaks: Make sure to take breaks between meetings to rest and recharge. This can help you stay focused and productive when you are working on individual tasks. Overall, the key is to find a balance that works for you and your team, and to be proactive in managing your time and priorities Caregiver Connect

I see all these great ideas that I probably should be following in the replies, I just color-code my google calendar differently. Haha.

For me personally, keeping myself in time blocks every day is stressful, but for this year I wanna try to follow 333 method: 3 pivotal changes - that will be your daily routine (like loosing weight, reading few pages of book, changing the diet, learning new language) 3 shorter projects - that you know has start& end and require more creative approach (like building position for promotion) 3 maintenance - changes when you know you have to deal with unpleasant habits or problems (like saving money regularly, being open for social events) It is used slowly even in changing thinking, because I don't have the impression that a day is not very effective, because how can it be if I do what I set myself? Maybe someone find it useful too :)
