1. What is your PH offer for the launch ā essential in driving sign ups and conversions. Make it valuable to the customer and unique without decreasing the value of your overall brand
2. Launch Messaging: dedicate time to workshopping this and show it to family and friends to see if it resonates with them. Instead of āasking for an upvote,ā what are REALLY asking for ā support, community, a chance, etc⦠ā> messaging also includes: welcome message, social messaging, ask for friends and family, updates, landing page, thank you messages, etcā¦

Seems like you are going to have a very busy week :) Thank you for such a great opportunity, my question would be - what does it take to close the first paid deal? How to sell a product without much reference and with limited budget (as organically as possible)?

@technufllc If Iāve learned anything over these past 12 years of owning my own business, itās that passively waiting does ZERO. You have to constantly be in a place to build relationships. Closing a deal, also means some behind-the-scenes practicing of āknowing the numbersā and other being prepared to answer difficult questions. Once the first deal closes the second becomes easier and so on. Youāll make mistakes in the first few, but be assured that these mistakes will help make the future better.

After years of engaging (this isnāt my key account), building and, more importantly, launching, weāve learned a ton about what to do (and have great methodologies developed to support).

What's the best way for small businesses to approach PR?

@ed_smit Think long-term. Strategic communications and PR are all about what keep people coming back. This means for the long-term, so your strategy should be the same. For small business, Iād encourage an earned media relations approach that hyper-focuses on key target customer audiences. This may mean an emphasis on trade publications for key verticals partnered with a goal of one major, national hit for the quarter.

What are the best tools that you have come across to manage your consultant practice?

@parekh_tanmay Hi Tanmay. I actually run a mid-size agency, so we have a full team and it requires lots of infrastructure to keep things running effectively. Some day Iād like to package these together as a tool suite for other PR agencies (will have to use PH!).

@vishek_ashuk Hi Richard. We do a lot of launches on Product Hunt, but the caveat is that these are for existing Sevans PR clients who are with us for long-term strategic communications.
