If you were to lose your job right now, what would you do?
I should probably start Monday more optimistically, but let's take it as a little creative exercise. 😅
I see people on Reddit complaining that jobs are really hard to get. With the use of AI technologies, the situation won't be any easier.
What would your steps be if you were to lose your job right now and have to "validate" yourself on the job market again?
Would you go through job offers on platforms/LinkedIn?
Would you try asking friends (betting on connections)?
Would you start "drafting some prospectus for a potential company", hoping to get invited to a call?
Or?
I started building a personal brand for this case, too, to be more visible and to make my way easier, btw. When you have grown your personal brand/profile, people are more likely to see you as "validated person".

@busmark_w_nika I will surely first concentrate on building my personal brand, as when I will be 35+, no company will give me job or otehr sources. So, if I have my personal brand value, I can do consultation business, mentoring, course creation,etc. As my age increase, my possibility of getting job will be decreased, but, my possibilities of creating value-driven business will increase. After all, ages bring experiences.

@foyjul_i On which channels do you build that brand?
@busmark_w_nika I will go for IG, LinkedIn and YouTube. why? I am a Digital Marketer and content writer, and my most targeted client will be in these two platforms. Why not reddit? As it will take long time to build the solid profile karma there.

@foyjul_i I think that Reddit is a place that is trustworthy for people, probably worth investing your time. :)

@talshyn yes, you can sell your products by exposing here, but let's be honest – it is not easy, and the success rate can be very low. 😬
Yeah, feels like the bar keeps shifting. Networking + small wins go a long way when the market feels stacked against you.

@shabb_katoch I am afraid that when there are too many AI replacements, there will be no jobs left for humans.
I still work part time since I can't fully support myself with the companies I have built but I already know I am losing my Job.
In December the Company I work for is downsizing since it got acquired by another company and I will be jobless then.
Anyway In Switzerland if you are a man you actually have to go to the military.
And Since I will loose my job I can get that done soon.
So going to the military is what I am going to do.

@andrejgood ufff, that's very brave. Isn't there any other way, because it sounds dangerous to be honest.
@busmark_w_nika Its not really dangerous and yes there is another way you can work in like Hospitals and stuff but that takes way longer and I have been working in enough care facilities.
