Is relying on AI for quick ideas killing your actual problem solving?

Using AI tools to draft copy or quick code saves tons of time but I've noticed I immediately jump to prompting instead of just sitting with a problem for five minutes.
it's great for speed, but sometimes the outputs feel a bit generic and strip away that personal touch.
do you set any personal boundaries on when to close the AI tab and just brainstorm manually?

I wondered this, but now I think in my case its the opposite. I wind uo having to think through the imperfections in the results I get from prompting and work out how to correct. And redirect. I'm new to this and it was one of the most difficult cognitive exercises I've done. And I'm not done yet. However.....I get that for someone who is already a master prompter it could be the case. For me, it's definitely sharpening my problem solving. Day in, day out. 🤣
