A user can update the firmware of a Dlink router either using the check method or through a manual method. If a new firmware is available for your router, a notification appears on the main menu page of the dlinkrouter.local window. You just have to respond to the message appearing on the main page to start the update process on your Dlink router. To avoid a sudden disconnection during the update process, users are recommended to use the wired connection between the router and their computer using the Ethernet cable.
