without questioning whether the name X is good or not or whether a rebrand is good or not... the way this was done is one of the most disgraceful branding exercises I've ever seen in my 25 years in design and branding.. done with no thought, no planning, no testing, no strategy, just spontaneous afterthought of a creative spark like a 12-year-old child with ADHD at the very least .. refine the logo and test it in colours.. platform usage.. apply it to the site and app.. update the app.. think of the new terminology for the product.. even a basic brand guideline... its unprofessional, immature and frankly embarrassing for those who say "oh I like it" fair enough I'm not questioning the name.. just the design and the way it's been launched it's laughable.. and to be honest I'm still in shock one of the worlds biggest tech companies can do something so insanely stupid.

I think the rebrand hasn't really gone well, I still see twitter everywhere haha. What do you think about the rebranding? @artluko

I must say that we're really excited about the recent developments in the tech world. While Twitter's name change to X is an interesting move, we're more focused on empowering learners through our edtech application, ProApp. Speaking of which, we have some exciting news to share! Today, we launched ProApp on Product Hunt. It's an innovative platform where you can learn design and so much more. We believe in the power of education and skill development, and ProApp is designed to make learning accessible and engaging for everyone. If you're interested in exploring ProApp and taking your design skills to the next level, check it out here: (https://www.producthunt.com/prod...)

I'm so used to the twitter bird and I honestly like the mascot more than an X. We launch next week, would love your support! (https://www.producthunt.com/prod...)

This will be a textbook definition of brand equity destruction in the future. Rather than making Twitter better and building on top of it to an Everything app, he's destroyed any headstart because he's surgically destroyed so much value. This is a classic example of why egomaniacal billionaires shouldn't making branding decisions (much like the misguided dropping of "HBO" to just "max" because Zaslov wanted to make the Discovery components seem more relevant). Will Elon succeed? Perhaps, although I think he'll end up relying on his good brands rather than this X-nonsense, but he's made it all much harder than it needed to be with missteps and self-inflicted wounds.

@artluko, Elon Musk is like a modern-day Richie Rich, using his wealth to bring any idea he has to life. However, his innovative thinking and unique worldview are equally impressive and shouldn't be ignored.

Congratulations on such a successful launch.

I am waiting for more features that can make this platform better, I wonder how rebranding will help
