Voice AI: next big thing?
I attended a VoiceAI event held by NVIDIA at their Bengaluru, India office. It was very interesting to see all the startups that presented. Adi Margolin, Product Manager at NVIDIA, added a lot of her own insights at the work being done by her team in this field. For India especially, a country known for 121 major languages and about 20,000 dialects, there's a big challenge to be overcome. However, some of the results showcased were promising, with some teams targeting low latency, while others focused on improving accuracy. Interestingly, a lot of these startups are developing voice agents for the medical industry, like for eg. answering queries by patients for prescriptions.
I would love to know what all your thoughts are. I've found this an interesting concept ever since I've had an Alexa device in my home. Do you think think that Voice AI has the potential to be the next step after chatbots?
