What advice would you give someone who is starting their own company?
by•
I wish someone had told me how much time it would take. I was so naive when I started my company, thinking that it would be easy to get off the ground and make a name for myself.
What I didn't realize until later is that there's so much work involved in building a business and so many things that can go wrong.
I'm grateful for my experience now, but if I could go back and tell myself something about starting a company, it would be:
"Don't expect things to go smoothly. And if you had to pivot... PIVOT!"

You will need initiative, determination and persistence, resilience and a willingness to take personal responsibility for your successes and failures.
One thing that I've also found is that by establishing a strong relationship with your co-founders is paramount to being able to adapt to the shifting context/situation of your business.

respect each and every efforts of your team who is helping to building your ideas never let them feel down!
- Be persistent
- Make sure you have the time and initial ressources for it (coming up short is hella stressful)
- Start something you're passionate about
- Build with a co-founder or 2
- Study what everybody else does that works and doesn't seem to work
- And finally; don't expect to go viral overnight. 🙈
Oh, and buy coffee. You're gonna need a lot of it.

Be honest with yourself about whether you can envision spending the next 7+ years of your life working on your startup.
As you grow, the nature of the challenges you face will change, but it doesn't become less 'difficult'.
If you can't enjoy the process (or at least find it rewarding), you won't find the motivation to get out of bed in the morning.

Something I wish I had realized earlier is that, while planning is a crucial part of the process, we shouldn't get stuck on it. Things won't always go exactly as planned and it's important to find a balance between planning and quick execution. Even the most detailed plan can't predict every bump in the road. So, I would say, don't be afraid to take a leap of faith and make things happen, and remember that being flexible and adapting as you go is key.
Most importantly, don't let a fear of not being perfect hold you back. Trust yourself, stay focused, and keep moving forward – that's how you'll bring your plan to life and make your dream a reality!

My advice would be: be careful which advice you listen to.
