What are some of the best under-the-radar tools that you know of or use?

by
I am a sucker of niche tools which are not as popular their other alternatives, but they get the work done just fine, or in some cases even better.

Our product called https://fileapproved.com is a Frame.io and FileStage alternative. We made it different because those other ones require reviewers to submit at least their email to review files, but with File Approved, you choose what info you need from the reviewer. So, if you don't need their email, you don't have to ask for it.

dogfooding like some other founders :) Check out www.greetpool.com to create beautiful group greeting cards. Celebrate birthdays, farewells, weddings, babies etc together with your friends, family or coworkers. We launched last year https://www.producthunt.com/prod... and got a great response (and users) from the community.

Not to go the shameless plug route but here's one for creatives: PocketManager (Notion template) aims to help organize the creative journey as an artist, manager, content creator, etc. This is my first attempt at trying to build out an infrastructure creatives can build upon to make the digital management and development of ideas less fragmented, while keeping other business development, marketing, and admin information handy in one central location. I created this system(s) out of my own necessity within the creative field. I've made it available for FREE, with option to pay if folks would like to support. https://juanchojack.gumroad.com/...

I don't know if it's under-the-radar, but Notion's database features are getting really nice, and they even have a free integrated AI assistant now (15 uses or something). And for 3D modeling, I just discovered that Windows actually has a pre-installed tool called "3D Builder" which is a quick way to build simple objects. I didn't even know this existed until today. Also, definitely under the radar tools I like: - slickrun: command line shortcuts to run programs on your PC (an Android equivalent is the KISS Launcher) - regexrenamer: batch rename files using regex

I use FileThis.com It logs into all places you have accounts and automatically downloads your statements to the cloud. It saves so much time.

Following the success of TMchecks, we launched Aux Machina. We think it's the easiest AI photo generator in the universe, because you don't need to know anything about prompts to get stunning photos in seconds!

Always hunting for these. Here are a few that have stuck in my rotation:

  1. Velja: A tiny menu bar app that forces specific links (like Zoom or Jira) to open in specific browsers. Lifesaver if you juggle Chrome for work and Safari for personal use.

  2. Keka: The only file archiver/unarchiver on macOS that doesn't feel like bloatware.

  3. Shottr: A pixel-perfect screenshot tool that's inexplicably free (for now).

Curious what everyone else is digging up lately.
