What do you think about higher education, is it necessary these days?

@shakhmetava_natallia I am currently pursuing Bachelors in business administration at ESSEC Business school in paris. Coming from a background of entrepreneurs in the education sector, here's my hot take! Higher education today is all about networking & building connections. Sure, you learn more in depth for certain topics but its nothing you can't learn off youtube. Unless, you are switching to a different direction completely, i do not think higher education is completely necessary. As creators, our world revolves around our connections.

Higher education is an essential and helpful tool in the modern world. It gives you a wide range of opportunities but also disadvantages.

According to me if you have a skill or two and you are a pro in it higher education doesn't matter.

I believe it is still necessary and needed, but not in the same mode. If you look closely it becomes clear that the current mode is all about spoon feeding and exhibiting the memory power. Students simply answer some random questions. I believe, students should have more freedom to express their view, rather than simply memorizing what is being taught in the classroom. Institutions should be a platform to experiment and express oneself. Concurrently, teachers should update their knowledge, and classrooms should become interactive sessions. Students should get ample opportunities to explore latest technology trends & cultural differences. Institutions should be molding youngsters into responsible, knowledgeable, innovative, self motivated logical thinkers & human beings.

Higher education definitely holds value in today's world, but it is evolving alongside technology. With the right tools, students and staff can optimize their time and improve productivity.
