Threads, huh? Well, Meta diving into the micro-blogging world, about time. Interested to see how they'll differentiate from Twitter's well-established territory.

It's young unlike Twitter, and lacks the features of Twitter which the users of the platform like. But it has good potential because it's connected to Instagram too, which is a platform that is used by a lot.

Remember the Clubhouse?

I think the search option still needs some work but it seems to be an easy switch for existing twitter users

I think it's very under powered. Not comparable to Twitter at this time. They got millions of sign-ups cause they used Instagram. They will have early traction but unless they make the app more usable and release a web version they will be a niche product.

Definitely going to be interesting to see if people float toward threads after the hype dies down. Personally really like the UI, but the capability-wise with posting it seems a bit blank. Definitely see a lot of potential with Thread especially with Instagram attached to it which is super unique! Connect with me on threads! : https://www.threads.net/@tylerrong

I think it's quite a weird thing for well-established profiles to start with 0 followers. For instance, the @graphica.ai business account has 30k+ followers on Instagram, and now it's just hundreds on Threads because people are still in transition. As for me, it would be much better to keep accounts as is without starting from scratch. What are your thoughts about such a launch strategy?
