What does social media in the future look like?

Social media will become a mainstream media format, people will have more ability to influence decisions.

I believe tech like AI and VR will have an improved reach among the core SM users. However, I don't see a drastic change in SM in the near future. More trends and more influencers for sure.

Social media impact in our day day to day life is increasing..

I think AI, VR would greatly influence the upcoming dimensions of social media.

I think it will be more intuitive to match interested strangers, more playful in interactions with AR function.

Hey Javikaur, I think first there needs to be big changes in hardware before the Metaverse / VR is truly disruptive outside of tech circles. Headsets are still pretty expensive and a fairly niche product which is far less functional and practical than a smartphone. Once the cost and inconvenience of wearing a headset is outweighed by the benefit of being in the metaverse, then I think we'll see massive changes in the way we communicate – at the moment there is a huge barrier to entry for most people
