What’s the most underrated skill every founder or builder should have?

For me, it’s storytelling.
A great story can do what numbers and features often can’t: it builds trust, creates emotional connection, and helps people remember your product.
Founders who can tell a story through the eyes of their users often stand out, even in crowded markets.
What’s that one skill you think doesn’t get enough attention but makes all the difference?

speaking on camera. I just can't seem to be able to do it

@salah_zeghdani That's a great one. Speaking on camera is definitely a skill that takes practice, and I can relate to it being tough. The ability to connect with people visually is so powerful.
For me, it’s self-awareness. A founder who understands their own strengths and blind spots can hire better, make clearer decisions, and avoid burning out. It’s not flashy, but it shapes everything else.

@priyankamandal That’s such a strong point. Self-awareness really acts like a foundation, without it, even the best strategies can fall apart. I’ve seen leaders who lacked it burn out quickly or make the wrong hires, while those with it build more resilient teams.
