When should I actually buy the domain and set everything up?

by

I’m pretty new to launching products, and I’m a bit confused about the right order of things.

If I have an idea and a basic MVP, should I:

  • Buy the domain and set up the website, branding, etc. first?

  • Or launch the MVP quickly, get some feedback, and only invest in those things once I know people are actually interested?

I don’t want to spend too much time/money polishing something before knowing if the idea is worth pursuing.

For those who’ve launched before, how early did you take care of things like the domain, landing page, branding, email, etc.?

Research should always come first. Once you've validated the problem and demand, then it really depends on how passionate you feel about the product (IMO). In my case, I jumped in with both feet quickly on all the areas you listed. Not saying that's the 'right' way to approach, just the way I approached. Caveat, I'm also a big fan of failing fast for continuous learning and improvement, so I may not be the best to give advice on this. LOL
