π‘ Why did we build GimmeResume.ai?
GimmeResume.ai started as a tool I built for myself, and my approach allowed me to traverse multiple career changes by getting high interview hit-rates on applications. As a Principal AI Engineer, I've been able to leverage millions of job postings with AI/ML models to build resumes that communicate what the ATS is looking for.
It became clear I was onto something when during mass layoffs at a previous employer, I reached out to help affected coworkers and found my approach working surprisingly well for them too, with most landing a new role within a couple months.
After helping my co-workers, I reached out to job seekers on LinkedIn for beta testing and saw our approach continue to work.
One common theme we noticed: everyone was using ChatGPT to write their resumes and it wasn't working for them. There's a direct comparison in our demo video if you want to see first-hand how bad ChatGPT is at understanding current demand:
