I'm Allen, the creator of Global Weather Pro, and I'm thrilled to launch the 2.0 version of the plugin today.

The use of point-in-polygon technology by the National Weather Service (NWS) in the U.S. really highlights the importance of providing hyper-local forecasts through Weatherbit. With this system, if a precise GPS location falls anywhere inside the polygon fence drawn by a meteorologist, an alert is triggered. That's the level of precision we're bringing to your website.

Here’s what makes the new alerts feature special:

• Keeps Your Audience Safe: You can now automatically display timely notifications for severe weather events, sourced directly from a trusted provider, Weatherbit.

• Maximum Visibility: Alerts are prominently displayed within the header widget to ensure they are seen by your visitors.

• Complete Information: A recent enhancement ensures the alert modal displays all active alerts for a location in a single, scrollable view, not just the first one. This gives your users the full picture of any severe weather.

• True Hyper-Local Focus: Alerts are issued for the specific address you set, not just a general city area, providing information that is genuinely relevant to your audience.
