We are super excited to introduce Haitch, our AI engineering copilot for hardware product design.


Why did we build it?
I have spent the past 15 years developing, launching, and supporting team-building hardware products (consumer electronics, medtech, deeptech, robotics).
I met tons of people having some great product ideas, but did not know where to start: "writer's block", or great engineers spend a ton of time at the ideation stage, moving from an idea to first visuals, 3d files, CAD, prototyping with initial selecting parts & BOMs generation.

We asked:

  1. What if an AI agent could help you fight the engineering blank page syndrome?

  2. What if an AI agent could help you go from idea → sketch → CAD?

What does Haitch do for you?

  • Helps you iterate faster, reducing the tedious back-and-forth in early hardware product design

  • helps turn your idea into a detailed product description, renders, product images, 3D mesh files, mechanical CAD, and engineering documentation (PRD, BOM, CMF)

Who is it for?
DIY Makers, hardware startups, product designers, and mechanical engineers working on physical devices, especially early on, when you want to validate ideas fast without endless overhead.

I played around with this and the level of detail and nuance was pretty impressive. This does more than just get us over the writer’s block. It helps really crystallize ideas and get it on ‘paper’. It also makes you think through design details in a very methodical manner. Really excited to follow what you guys are building!
