We just shipped a big update to HalalNear.me 🫒

What's new:

Complete visual refresh — Warm cream theme (Fajr), new typography, and a redesigned homepage with cuisine browsing, city-filtered top rated sections, and curated seasonal guides

Scroll reveal animations — Sections and cards fade in as you scroll, with staggered cascading on the cuisine grid. Lightweight IntersectionObserver — no heavy libraries

Premium halal badges — Shield icons with checkmark/tilde/question mark for Verified, Likely Halal, and Unverified confidence levels. Cleaner, easier to read at a glance

Graceful image fallback — The ~2% of restaurant photos with expired Google URLs now show a clean branded placeholder instead of broken images

Restaurant submission form — The "Add Your Restaurant" CTA now works! Restaurant owners can submit their business directly, and we get instant Discord notifications to review them

Micro-interactions everywhere: Fade-siblings on hover, press-scale on click, hover-lift on cards, emoji bounces on the cuisine grid. Small details that make the whole experience feel polished.

All animations respect prefers-reduced-motion for accessibility. Zero external animation dependencies.
