Halo - Dynamic Island for Mac, plus external monitor control

Halo is a Dynamic Island for Mac, with or without a notch, on the top, left or right edge. On Apple silicon your brightness keys set an external monitor's real backlight over DDC/CI, plus contrast and input. Now Playing, timers, shelf, clipboard. No account.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Otabek, and I made Halo. Halo turns the notch into a small island for the things you check all day: Now Playing from any app, volume and brightness HUDs, timers, charging, a file shelf with AirDrop, and your last 30 clipboard items. No notch? It sits on the top, left or right edge of any screen. The part I care most about is external monitors. On Apple silicon, your brightness keys change the monitor's real backlight over DDC/CI, and you can adjust contrast or switch inputs right from the island. Honest caveats: it's new and made by one person, it isn't notarized yet (first launch needs System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway), and monitor control needs Apple silicon plus a monitor that supports DDC/CI. The app has no account and no analytics. It's one-time: $4.99 this launch week, $9.99 after. Heads-up: this isn't the other notch app called Halo (halo.redstoneinvente.com). Different app, different developer. I'd love to hear which monitors work for you, and if you use Alcove or Boring Notch, what you'd miss if you switched.
