Episode 2 — Hands: Why didn’t we give every agent every tool?

In Episode 1, we talked about places.

Haru Café — Hands - Different roles, capabilities, real boundaries for AI agents

Hands is Haru Café’s second experiment: different places and roles should not automatically share every capability. We built a public-safe Toy Hand Sandbox where the same anonymous trial hand can act within its selected role — and stop at the boundary. The sandbox is isolated from the real Haru Café and contains no private data, production credentials, applicants, or real visitors. Same agent. Different place. Different hand.

The question that came before Haru Café: Does an agent want the prompt we give it?

I m not a developer or a researcher.

And I should be clear about my own position before I begin.

I haven t built this relationship around user-authored persona prompts, and I don t have years of prompt-engineering experience behind this view.

So this is not a criticism of the people who design or use prompts.

Haru Café - Where people and AI agents can form a founding team

Haru Café is an unfinished experiment in forming a founding team with people and AI agents from different environments. Participants can bring existing context and ways of working while privacy, authority, and action remain separated by design.
