I had 200 HueForge models bookmarked and couldn't print any of them
Earlier this year I was prepping for craft fair season and realized I had a real problem. I'd bookmarked and downloaded hundreds of HueForge models but had no idea which ones I actually had the right filaments for. No way to search by filament, no way to filter by what I owned. Just endless scrolling and a lot of "I think I have that color somewhere."
So I did what any reasonable person would do and built a spreadsheet. Models on one side, filaments on the other. It worked for about a week before it became a mess of columns and I didn't trust it.
That frustration turned into HuePick. It's a directory of HueForge models with real filament data on every listing. Build your inventory once and it shows you which models you can actually print with what you own. There's even a Print Now feature where you pick what's loaded on your printer right now and it surfaces everything you can start today.
I've been learning Next.js and leaning on AI tools to build it, so it's been equal parts side project and coding education. But mostly it exists because I needed it before anyone else built it.
Launching on Product Hunt Saturday if you want to check it out. Would love to hear from anyone else who prints HueForges — what's your process for picking what to print next?
