HUNCH is a game that turns scam awareness into an interactive game. Instead of simply reading tips about scams, users face realistic scam scenarios and have to trust their instincts, identify suspicious behavior and choose the right action under time pressure. With progressive levels, scoring, streaks, XP and different types of scam situations, HUNCH makes learning how to spot scams engaging, practical and memorable.

We built HUNCH because knowing scam red flags isn't the same as recognizing them under pressure. We wanted people to practice spotting scams not just read about them. What started as a simple idea evolved into a game with realistic scenarios, timed decisions, levels and scoring/ Now we are curious: What's the closest you've ever come to falling for a scam?

hey  since you already built in streaks and the 120 xp system, a simple referral leaderboard would be huge for growth.

any plans to let users submit their own real scam texts for future levels?

 That’s actually a really good idea. A referral leaderboard could fit nicely with the streak/XP system and give people another reason to keep playing.

And yes, user-submitted scam texts are definitely something I’d love to explore for future levels. It could make the scenarios much more realistic and varied. Thanks for the suggestions!

Curious to know what your first version looked like compared to this ?

 The first version was honestly very basic compared to this . It started mainly as a simple scenario-based game with the core idea of choosing whether something felt legit or suspicious. From there, we kept adding and refining things like the different difficulty levels, timed decisions, XP and streaks, progression, and the overall UI/gameplay flow. We also rewrote a lot of the scenarios because we wanted them to feel less predictable and more like situations you could actually come across. So this version is basically the result of gradually polishing the original idea into a more complete game.

I built it to make scam awareness a little more interactive — instead of just reading about red flags, you actually have to make the decision yourself.

I’d genuinely love to hear what you think after playing it, especially which scenario caught you off guard or made you second-guess your choice.
